Global Britain: The Protection of Civilians in conflict zones

On Tuesday 26th January, the Coalition for Global Prosperity co-hosted a private roundtable on the Protection of Civilians in conflict zones with War Child and Conservative Friends of Armed Forces.

The Coalition heard from senior speakers including James Sunderland MP, Baroness Hodgson, Sarah Champion MP, Stephanie Lord (Programme Director for Save the Children in Afghanistan), Helen Alderson (Head of Regional Delegation to the UK and Ireland for the Red Cross) Rocco Blume (Head of Policy and Advocacy at War Child), James Clark (Executive Director of CF Armed Forces) and Ryan Henson (CEO, The Coalition for Global Prosperity)

The private roundtable, chaired by Ryan Henson, brought together parliamentarians to discuss how the UK can remain a global leader in protecting civilians in conflict zones. James Clark welcomed guests, and then Rocco Blume, Stephanie Lord, Helen Alderson, James Sunderland MP and Baroness Hodgson provided opening remarks, followed by a chaired discussion.
