Launch of the Global Britain Caucus

The Coalition for Global Prosperity were delighted to host General Sir Nick Carter for the launch of the Global Britain Caucus.

General Sir Nick Carter GCB, CBE, DSO was former Chief of the Defence Staff and has commanded on operations including the Troubles in Northern Ireland, UN peacekeeping in Cyprus, NATO peace enforcement in both Bosnia and Kosovo, and commanding the UK-led Brigade in Iraq in 2003-04. He has multiple years of experience in Afghanistan since 9/11 until the present day, designing approaches to counter insurgency and acting as the key facilitator to build confidence between the Afghan and Pakistani governments.

The roundtable discussion focused on the importance of bringing together key institutions on Whitehall to better enact UK foreign policy as well as discussing the challenges facing the UK and its allies around the world.
