Rosie Boughton-Shields

Head of Overseas Visits

Rosie is the Coalition for Global Prosperity’s Head of Overseas Visits. She leads our ambitious programme taking Members of Parliament and parliamentary candidates to see UK development partnerships in action around the world.

Having risen from the position of CGP’s first summer intern, Rosie has gained extensive experience during her three years at the organisation. In 2023, as our Events Manager, she organised CGP’s first full day conference, our inaugural annual lecture and our largest party conference programme so far, and aspires to take our Overseas Visits Programme to similar new heights.

Rosie has long had a passion for international development and environmental justice. She graduated with a degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Cambridge in 2020, where she especially enjoyed her studies on the politics of Africa and political ecology.
