Libby Smith

Director of Advocacy

Libby is our Director of Advocacy, having previously held the posts of Acting Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer at CGP. She has a background in parliament, lobbying and international development. Prior to joining the Coalition, Libby worked for the NGO WaterAid leading on engagement with the UK Government and European Commission. Prior to this she worked on a range of high profile clients in the corporate communications and public affairs team at Portland Communications and in the House of Commons for two Members of Parliament. Libby serves on the Executive Board on a range of political organisations and is part of the Labour Party’s Speakers Network. Libby holds a first-class BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and an Msc in Global Politics.
