Amy Gander

Head of Operations and Evaluation

Amy is our Head of Operations & Evaluation. She comes from a background in Advocacy, Humanitarian and Nutrition Programming, as well as in organisational management. Prior to joining us at the Coalition, she worked for CAFOD; the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development. During her time at CAFOD Amy worked across various teams, including working in advocacy before moving into a role supporting in-country teams across Africa, leading the development of donor-funded humanitarian programmes (such as with the EU, START Fund and DEC).

She provided technical support and stakeholder expertise, often travelling to advise teams in challenging or insecure locations globally. In early 2024, she was able to provide part-time support to CAFOD as organisational Governance Manager, alongside her role at CGP. Amy has an MSc in Nutrition for Global Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (ANutr), and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from Queen Mary, University of London.

Amy is an ambassador to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and in 2023 was awarded an Aspen UK Rising Leaders Fellowship. Since being awarded this fellowship, Amy has been invited to join the Aspen UK Fellowship Advisory Board.
