The Rt Hon Alistair Burt

The Rt Hon Alistair Burt served as the Conservative Member of Parliament for Bury North 1983-1997, and for North East Bedfordshire from 2001 to 2019. During his distinguished 32-year career in Parliament, Alistair served in a variety of ministerial posts, including as Minister at both the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development, with a focus on Israel, Syria, the Middle East and North Africa. He is also joint founder and first Chairman of The Enterprise Forum, Pro- Chancellor of Lancaster University, and a Vice-President of the Tory Reform Group.
