Faith In Aid? The Coalition at Labour Party Conference 2019

The Coalition were in Brighton for Labour Party Conference this week, where Shadow Minister for International Development Preet Gill MP and leading voices from across civil society paid homage to the lifesaving role British faith organisations are playing around the world.

The event, chaired by Grace Blakeley of the New Statesman and organised in partnership with Islamic Relief UK, Christian Aid, Tearfund and WorldVision, explored how faith-based development organisations can create jobs and drive prosperity in developing countries. Speakers highlighted how development is core to tackling issues such as climate change and pollution, creating the green jobs and waste management systems that protect our shared environment.
