Five Years of the Coalition for Global Prosperity
Today marks the 5th anniversary of the Coalition for Global Prosperity’s launch!
Launched in 2018 by former Prime Minister, The Rt Hon David Cameron, and former Development Secretary, The Rt Hon Penny Mordaunt MP, we were established to champion the UK as a force for good in the world, bringing together a coalition of senior figures from Defence, Development, and Diplomacy who believe that Britain is at its best when it remains at the forefront of saving lives, alleviating poverty and bringing freedom, security and prosperity to those who need it most.
Since we launched, we have had over 800 engagements with Parliamentarians, become a regular fixture at party conferences, and taken 9 delegations of decision makers overseas to see the impact of UK Aid first hand.
We have also launched 2 policy reports on the UK’s role on the world stage, launched 3 high impact programmes, 2 essay collections, 22 episodes of the Global Britain Podcast, and held over 130 events, roundtables and policy discussions.
