To coincide with the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in London, The Coalition for Global Prosperity hosted a private roundtable with Bill Gates to discuss the role of the private sector in development.

Our Chief Executive said, "The voice of British business leaders has never been so important. It is the private sector that helps power growth around the world, fuel job creation, transform economies and end aid dependency. British businesses lead by example, advancing economic development in some of the world’s poorest countries.

However, there is still much to be done if we are to meet the global challenges we face. This was a timely discussion of how businesses can help contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, contribute to the alleviation of poverty through the creation of jobs and how the UK can be a force for good in the world.”
